Civilizing Sexuality by John Hules is a book that will
  • examine how traditional moral and social values contribute to -- and
    cover up -- rape, incest, and child molestation
  • discuss how we can heal the sexual shame that results from abuse
  • present a new sexual ethic that respects both desires and
    boundaries.

This is a work in progress and not yet complete, but I've decided to make
the draft manuscript available on the Web in the hope of starting a public
dialogue on the issues raised in this study.
